Materials Needed:
For the zoo animal matching game, you will need:
- the Zoo Animal Matching printable
- scissors or a paper cutter
- a laminator (this is optional, but I highly recommend laminating if you can!)
Instructions for Preparing the Zoo Animal Matching Game:
- Print 2 copies of the Zoo Animal Matching printable
- Laminate both copies (optional)
- Cut out the animal squares on ONE sheet only. These will be your game cards. The other sheet will be your game board.
Time to Play!
- Lay out the board and cards and show them to your toddler.
- Hand her a card, the bear for example, and ask her if she can find the bear on the board.
- Ask her to put the bear card on the other bear. Guide her as much as she needs until she gets the idea. She’ll probably catch on pretty quickly, and be able to do the rest herself.

You can do this activity with your toddler as a bonding and learning activity, or let her enjoy it on her own while you work with your other children, or get something else done!
